The Northeast Austin Promise Neighborhood brings together schools, families, and community partners to align resources and address gaps across education, health, workforce, and family stability systems. The goal is not a single program, but a connected framework of support designed for long-term impact.

NEAPN operates through six strategic focus areas:

Early Childhood

Every child in the zone is kindergarten ready, with access to health and developmental supports and early learning opportunities.

Student-Centered Learning

All students have access to a high-quality education that meets their needs and encourages their passions and interests.

Family & Community Stability

Families are able to stay and thrive in the community, with housing, health, job, transportation and other supports available.

Health & Wellbeing

Families have access to healthcare, as well as nutritious food and safe places for children to play, grow, and thrive.

Workforce & Adult Education

Older children and adults have access to college and workforce training, as well as a full range of adult education opportunities.

Extended Learning

All children have access to after school and summer extended learning opportunities, as well as fine arts and other enrichment programs.

The NEAPN Model

This work is grounded in a shared theory of action. If we unite a diverse group of stakeholders to support the academic and basic needs of Northeast schools, neighborhoods, and communities — using community school strategies and coordinated partnerships — then students will experience improved outcomes from early childhood through post-secondary pathways.

How Programs Are Delivered

Programs are implemented through partnerships with schools, nonprofit organizations, healthcare providers, and local agencies. Supports are aligned across the Northeast Austin family of schools to ensure continuity, collaboration, and successful long-term outcomes.

Through this coordinated approach, NEAPN aims to ensure that:

  • Children are safe and healthy
  • Students graduate prepared for college and career
  • Schools are stable, sustainable, and high-performing
  • Families experience increased economic mobility

A Coordinated System of Support

NEAPN is not a single program, but a connected system designed to support students and families over time. Whether you are a family, educator, or community partner, we welcome the conversation.
